Lucille Dunn

April 5, 1934 ~ July 3, 2022 (age 88)


Lucille Dunn, 88, of Findlay, Ohio entered eternal life peacefully at her home on Sunday, July 3, 2022, surrounded by family. 

She was born Lucille Marple on April 5, 1934, in Cincinnati, Ohio to her loving and respected parents William & Cora (Pennington) Marple who she has reunited in their heavenly home. 

She married Gerald Pierce in 1953 in Biloxi, Mississippi, they had 4 children and divorced, he is deceased.
She then married Fred Dunn on January 29, 1977, in Monroe, Michigan he preceded her in death on July 2, 2000. 

Lucille was the most loving and selfless mother to Karen Pierce of El Mirage, AZ, Mark (Valana) Pierce of Findlay, OH, Tamara (Fred) Wright of North Baltimore, OH,
Sharon (Doug) Kuenzli of Helena, MT.

A stepmother of Chris Dunn of Colorado Springs, CO, Samuel Dunn of Brentwood, TN, and Joe (Traci) Dunn of Findlay, OH.

A grandmother to Christine (Shane) Pierce-Blair of Findlay, OH, Heather (Justin) Waite of Findlay, OH, Elizabeth (Russ) Hines of Pleasantville, OH, Daniel (Brittany) Pierce of Findlay, OH, Steven Stallard of Findlay, OH, Bryan (Megan) Stallard of New Albany, OH. John "JT" Stallard of Lubbock, TX.  Nathan Kuenzli of Beulah, ND, Morgan (Dylan) Hambright of Bend, OR, Alex Kuenzli of Bozeman, MT.

A great-grandmother of Sydney Davis, Makenzie Durst, Everett (Kourtney) Waite, Laurel Waite, Pierce Waite, Brayden Hines, Keegan Hines, Hudson Hines, Jaelynn Pierce, Chloe Pierce, Bexley Pierce, Bryli Stallard, Maci Stallard, Karli Stallard, Anika Stallard, Isla Stallard, Nash Stallard and a great-great grandmother to Brooklyn Waite. 

A step-grandmother to Brian Dunn, Kyle Dunn, Kevin Dunn, Nate May of Carey, and Jared (Cheri) May.
A step great-grandmother to Alex May, Zeke May, and Carson May.

Lucille is a sister to John Marple, David Marple, and Carol Ann Morgan all of Cincinnati, OH, and has a brother-in-law Dan Pierce of Carmichael, California.

Her happiest moments in life were spent with the people she loved. She was dedicated to checking in with her family daily and always extended generosity with all her heart. 

Lucille was a Veteran of the United States Air Force before starting her family as a homemaker in California. She then relocated back to be near her family in Cincinnati, OH, and started her career at US Postal Service. She retired in Findlay, Ohio from the US Postal Service in 1995.

Lucille was preceded in death by Daughter in Law Sherri Pierce. Her siblings and spouses Helen & Bill Criscillis, Robert & Millie Marple, Charles & Angie Marple, Jeffrey Marple, Billie Marple, Jacklyn Marple, Lana Marple, and Bob Morgan and her nieces: Donna Criscillis, Debbie Morgan, Donita Marple Hill.

Graveside Services will be held at Maple Grove on Friday, July 8, 2022, at 12:00 pm with Bryan Stallard officiating.. Full military rites will be conducted by the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad at the cemetery. A celebration of life luncheon will follow at the Findlay Amvets.   In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Pierce's Crew Arrangements are being handled by Coldren-Crates Funeral Home in Findlay.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.
