James Robert "Jimmy" Schiltz
Jimmy was born February 12, 1967 and moved on to be with our Lord on November 22, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Jimmy is survived by his longtime partner, Kelly Frost, and her children Braden, Landen, and Taylor. He is also survived by his daughter Logan Schiltz and her partner Josh Tavenier, stepson Bradley Steinman, his parents Sue and Roy William "Bill" Schiltz, and his brother and sister-in-law Charles "Chuck" and Wendy Schiltz. Jimmy is survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins on both the Schiltz and Tate sides of his family. Jimmy was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Howard and Velma Schiltz and maternal grandparents, Charles and Florinne Tate.
Following in the footsteps of his great grandfather, father, and brother, Jimmy worked at Cooper Tire and Rubber Company for 35 years. He was very close to his "Cooper Family." He loved and respected them all.
He was a big lovable Teddy Bear to his only child and referred to her as his "Pookie Girl." He enjoyed Sunday golf with his father, brother, and stepson Bradley. Jimmy was a huge fan of The Ohio State, the Denver Broncos and the Cincinnati Reds . He enjoyed participating in Fantasy Football at Ralphies Sports Eatery. Jimmy described his best memories as fly fishing with his uncles Art, Ron, and Jim on the Gunnison, Green, Snake, and White Rivers in Colorado and Wyoming.
Jimmy was truly a man of integrity and compassion. It was an honor to call him son, dad, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and partner.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Findlay Moose Lodge #698 on Sunday, December 11, 2022 starting at 1:00 pm with Minister Debra Dickerson officiating and following with fellowship and food until 4:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be directed towards St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Online condolences may be expressed at www.coldrencrates.com.
