Beth Marie Hardesty, age 56, of Findlay, died at 11:16am on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Blanchard Valley Hospital. She was born on October 21, 1966 in Findlay, Ohio to Derrill and Julia (Hinkle) Arnold. On June 22, 2013, she married Lee Alan Hardesty and he survives.
Beth is survived by her parents who live in Vanlue; sons: Brandon (Mackenzie) Shanahan of Pearland, Texas, Justin Shanahan of Philadelphia, Pa. and Jake Hardesty of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughters: Jacey (fiancee, Zachary Schatz) Hardesty of Troy, Ohio and Julia Hardesty of Findlay; brother, Gregg (Martha) Arnold of Alvada; sisters: Teresa (Rick) Schuerman of Woodsfield, Ohio and Janet (David) Schuerman of Woodsfield, Ohio; grandchildren, Delaney Shanahan, Margot Shanahan and Malakai Schatz and several nieces and nephews.
Beth was a 1985 graduate of Vanlue High School where she enjoyed Basketball, Band, Cheerleading, National Honor Society and just going to a small school. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Merchandising in 1989 from BGSU. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, the Findlay Service League, a school volunteer on both the PTO Board at Donnell and the Ohio Reads Program, was a club soccer team manager and an ALS advocate in Washington D.C. She had been the Operations Manager at the Lions Store, a client relationship manager and I9 Sales Rep at ADP, and a recruiter for TriWorth.
Beth enjoyed watching her kids play sports, traveling (especially anywhere that included a beach), reading, playing the piano, listening to Justin and her mother play the piano, tailgating with the college kids at their universities, taking walks hand in hand with Lee, helping others, being with family on any vacation, going to church or sharing a glass of wine with her girlfriends.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, November 27, 2022, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, 205 West Sandusky Street in Findlay, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 28, 2022. Pastor Bob Cochran will officiate and interment will follow at Union Cemetery in West Independence.
