Albert Francis Leckey Jr. passed away on September 18 at Briar Hill Care Center surrounded by family and his loving wife of 72 years, Ruby "Glenna" Leckey (Troiano). He was born on December 5, 1929 in Bluffton to Albert Leckey, Sr. and Irene (Kern).
Albert and Glenna were married on December 17, 1949 in Carey. He is survived by his wife and six children: Larry (Marilyn) of Van Buren, Mark (Janet) of Findlay, David of South Burlington, VT, Lynnette Griffith (John) of Van Buren, Bruce (Candy) Palmetto, FL, and Laura Dietelbach of Findlay along with eleven grandchildren: Tricia, Brian Melissa, Ellie, Tony, Laura, Sara, Billy, Samantha, Bruce Jr. and Grace and fourteen great-grandchildren: Gage, Brady, Jasmine, Ally, A.J., Heidi, Ben, Brynlyn, Bella, Parker, Asher, Mackenzie, Cady and William with very-soon-to-be-born great-great granddaughter, Alaya.
His parents and siblings Burdette, Keith, and Jeanette (Bob) Rinehart preceded him in death.
Albert worked at Marathon Oil Company for over 30 years, the last 15 years as a maintenance supervisor. He loved going on fishing trips with his family and golfing with a variety of friends and family. He loved music, especially Big Band Music and played trumpet in a dance band for many years.
Albert's family would like to give a special thank you to Bridge Hospice, especially nurse Ginny, for all the love and care they showered on their father and husband and towards the family. Memorials may be made to Bridge Hospice in Findlay, Ohio in Albert's name.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 11:00 am at the COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with services following at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Bridge Hospice of Findlay. Online condolences can be shared at www.coldrencrates.com.
