Robert "Bobby Dean" Elsea

Robert D. "Bobby Dean" Elsea, 75, of Arlington passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2019. Bob was born on July 14, 1944 to the late Lester E. and Fannie I. (Hosafros) Elsea. He married Linda C. Brinkman on October 24, 1970, and she survives along with two sons: Robert Lynn (Debi) Elsea of Tennessee, and Jeffrey (Jaimee) Elsea of Michigan. Bob is also survived by three grandchildren: Jax Elsea, Sean Landstrom, and Erin (Taylor) Cardin; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Betty (Jack) Huffman. Bobby Dean was a 1962 graduate of Arlington High School. Immediately after graduation, he became a firefighter for the Arlington Volunteer Fire Department. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1965, serving through 1966. After returning home, he began his EMS career in Arlington, when EMS was with Crates Funeral Home. He served his community as a member of the Arlington Volunteer Fire Department for 32 years, serving as Fire Chief for 14 of those years. He was also a member of Appleseed EMS for many years, also serving as EMS Chief. He was also a farmer, welder and excavator for many years and a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church. In all, Bobby Dean served his country and the Village of Arlington proudly for over 57 years. Visitation for Bobby Dean will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 2:00-8:00pm at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington and for one hour (10:00-11:00am) prior to the service at the church. A funeral service will begin at 11:00am on Friday, October 4, 2019 at Good Hope Lutheran Church, with Pastor Steve Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Good Hope Lutheran Church, Arlington Volunteer Fire Department, or Appleseed EMS in memory of Bob.
