Betty Lou Carpenter

1942 - 2019

Betty Lou Carpenter, age 77, of Findlay, died at 8:17pm on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the Bridge Care Center in Findlay. She was born on March 14, 1942, in Findlay, Ohio to the late Earl E. and Mary M. (Sines) Flugga. She married Glen F. Carpenter on May 25, 1958 and he died on September 16, 2018. She is survived by her daughters: Julie A. (Joe) Fogle, Kelly R. (Jeff) Haase, and Carlene P. (Terry) Stillberger all of Findlay; son: John (Sue) Carpenter of North Charleston, West Virginia; brother: Gary Flugga of Findlay; sister: Nancy (Bill) Price of Findlay, 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. She also raised her grandson: Justin (Ashley) Lobdell of Findlay. Also preceding her in death was a daughter: Teresa Lobdell and siblings: Charles Flugga, Marilyn (Merle) Vining and Patty Moyer. Betty had attended Stonebridge Church of God and had worked at the RCA and also the Blanchard Valley Hospital Surgical Dept. She enjoyed decorating as well as painting but she was most proud of being a great mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was little in stature but was very sassy and feisty with her family. There will be a Celebration of Life at the Findlay Moose Lodge on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 1:00pm, with Deacon Dave Sadler officiating. Memorials may be made to Bridge Hospice.
