Carol Ann Augsburger

1934 - 2019

Carol Ann Augsburger, 84, of Rawson, is now walking with her new legs hand in hand with her Lord and Savior. She passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2019. Born at home in Arlington, OH, on October 22, 1934, to Pearl and Ilo (Snyder) Bowman, who are deceased. She married Donald Dan Augsburger on August 5, 1957. Carol is survived by a daughter, Tamra Lynne (Harold E.) Parkins of Mt. Cory, OH; two grandsons: Justin J. (Megan)Parkins and their children, Mazie Grace and Cale Jacob; and another grandson: Joshua J. (Kelly) Parkins and their children, Anna Faith, Laira Hope, Emma Love and Lakyn Charity, all of Pandora. Two sisters: Nina Bell (Dale) Tuttle and Mary Jean (Willard) Houseman, are deceased. She is also survived by stepson, Mark Augsburger of Kentucky; three step-grandchildren: Stephanie, Ashley and Scott; and three step-great-grandchildren: Alexs, Lindell and Finn. Carol lost three children earlier in life: Robin Lenoard, Lana Leann, and infant boy. Carol worked at Ohio Bell in Findlay, Triplett in Bluffton, and retired in 1993 after 30 years from R.C.A. in Findlay. In her younger years, she was a member of the Happy Hour 4-H club for 9 years and participated at the Hancock County Fair. She was a Gideon and, best of all, a member of Gospel Fellowship Church of Rawson, OH and helped there when she could. She was a union worker for 1907 IBEW. Carol graduated from Liberty High School in 1952. She liked to travel and see The Ohio State Buckeyes, sports of all kinds, and NASCAR. She enjoyed her family very much. Visitation will be held from 1:00-6:00pm on Sunday, May 12, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. A funeral service will begin at 11:00am on Monday, May 13, at Gospel Fellowship Church, Rawson, with Pastor David Clark officiating. A meal will follow at Gospel Fellowship Church.
