Loris Everett Ward, 79, of Mt. Blanchard passed away peacefully at 4:14pm on November 5, 2019 at the Arlington Good Samaritan Center. He was born on October 9, 1940, in his family home, to Farel D. and Nina (Gilland) Ward. They preceded him in death. He married Patricia (Douglas) Young and they had two children: Linda Rae (Mike) Matte of Georgia, and Denny Lee (Sheri) Ward of Arlington. They divorced, and he married Geneva C. Ward. She preceded him in death in 2012. He was a loving grandfather to four grandchildren: Brandi Powell Brewer and Breanna Obosla of Georgia; and Chad (Penny) Ward of Findlay and Carrie (Ryan) Ernsthausen of Portage. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; three sisters: Nellie Branan of Arlington, Martha Benjamin of Findlay, and Janet (Loie) Courtney of FL; and several nieces and nephews. Loris was also preceded in death by brothers: Gene and Dell Ward; and a great-grandson, Jaeden Hines Ward. Loris was a 1958 graduate of Arlington High School and served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber Company following 40 years of service. Loris was a member of the Findlay Moose Lodge #698 and the So-Hanco gun club. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and gardening (especially known for his huge tomatoes), and he always loved making all of the women smile and was always cracking funny jokes. He was a friendly kind man and he never met a stranger. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his beloved family. At his request, there will be no services held. Memorials can be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice and online condolences can be shared by visiting coldrencrates.com.

Sorry for our loss. I feel fortunate to know your mother Nina, when she would come and visit my grandmother, Nellie B. Miller. The next generation did less visiting, sad to say. You have my deepest sympathy. June Miller Eier
