Arlene L. Suter, 95, of Arlington, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, October 29, 2019. Arlene passed in her home surrounded by her children. Arlene was born September 16, 1924, in Dixonville, PA, to the late Lee B. and Bertha (Luddington) Remaley. Arlene married Kenneth L. Suter on September 1, 1946, and he died January 1, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Eva (Farmer) Remaley. Arlene is survived by: son, Terry Suter of Arlington; three daughters: Linda (David) Chapman of Wickliffe, OH, Penny (Jim) Staley of Merriville, IN, and Holly (Paul Dean) Hunter of Arlington; 11 grandchildren: Mark (Tara) Chapman, Rebecca Huffstutler, Brian (Julie) Chapman, Dan Staley, Melissa (Brandon) Matthews, Nate (Heidi) Staley, Alisha (Joel) Newman, Rachel (Ross) Shoup, Katie (Aaron) Cheney, Jessica (Cody) Schmidt, Andrew Hunter, 19 great-grandchildren and another great grandson arriving in February, 2020. She was also preceded in death by one great-granddaughter. Arlene was a 1942 graduate of Arlington High School and a graduate of the Ft. Wayne Business School. She was a homemaker and later employed as a bookkeeper by Scott Elsea & Associates. Arlene was a member of Bible Fellowship Church, Arlington and served the Lord in many ways. She especially loved serving in the KYB and music ministries. She loved to attend and watch her grandchildren in their many activities. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 PM on Friday, November 1, 2019, at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Bible Fellowship Church, Arlington, where visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 AM. Pastor David Chapman will officiate and burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Bible Fellowship Church, Arlington and/or to Bridge Home Health and Hospice.
