There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot. ~Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 Dale Dean Hector, 83, of Findlay passed away at 2:00 a.m. on Saturday December 1, 2018 at Blanchard Valley Hospital. He was born in Hancock County on December 22, 1934 to the late Clarence and Althea (Fairchild) Hector. He married Bonnie L. Beach on September 20, 1953 and she survives. Also surviving are four daughters: Debra (Thomas) Green of Bluffton, Brenda (David) Lovenshimer of Grove City, Deana Hartman of Findlay, and Rebecca (Grant) Peterson of Mt. Cory; a son: D. Keith (Rhonda) Hector of Mt. Cory; grandchildren: Kimberly (Stephen) Arnott, Kara (Jordan) Barnhisel, Kristopher (Bethany) Green, Jenna Hartman, Casey (James) Gonzalez, Preston (Cassi) Peterson, David (Lizzie) Hector, Lauren (Andrew) Adams, Jordan Marie Hector, and John Hector; great-grandchildren: Anthony Wolford, Justin Arnott, Klarissa Arnott, Peyton Barnhisel, Maddox Barnhisel, Greyson Barnhisel, Sophia Barnhisel, Elizabeth Green, Natalie Green, Gavin Gonzalez, and Avery Babcock; and a sister: Mary Ellen (Howard) Hamilton of Findlay. A great-grandson, Wyatt Arnott also preceded him in death. Dale was a 1952 graduate of Cory-Rawson High School and a lifelong farmer. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jenera where he previously served on the Trinity Lutheran School Board. He also served on the advisory board at Cory-Rawson and was a member of the Farm Bureau. Dale loved attending all of his grandchildren's events and always kept family and church a priority. He will be sadly missed by his family. A funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jenera. Pastors Alois Schmitzer III and Matthew Nowak will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington on Tuesday, December 4 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00PM and for one hour prior to the service (10:00-11:00am) at the church on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran School, or a charity of the donor's choice.
