Janice J. Wickard, 83, of Arlington passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020. She was born in Arlington on November 13, 1936 to the late Arden and Rema (Bash) Hindall. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1955 and married Thomas Long and they later divorced. Janice then married Edwin R. Wickard on March 4, 1973 and he preceded her in death on January 27, 1991. Surviving are two daughters: Jodi K. (Daryl) Frysinger of Florida, and Jill K. (Douglas) Alge of Arlington; sister, Julene (Francis-Deceased) Wentz of Columbus; four grandchildren: Jennifer (Bill) Burkmier of Wharton, Dustin (Cassie) Frysinger of Pickerington, Cori Alge, and Cati (Tim) Barker; and four great-grandchildren: Abram and Aleena Frysinger and Leah and Madilynn Barker. She is also survived by nephews, Tim and Troy Mitchell. Janice worked for the Arlington Pharmacy, DOW Chemical, and Marathon Oil before retiring from Hercules Tire. A funeral service will begin at 11:00am on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at the CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington, where the family will receive friends from 10:00am Wednesday until the time of service. A private burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Arlington Good Samaritan Center.
