Marvin Frank Ritter, 79, of rural Findlay, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021. He was born on March 29, 1941 in McComb OH, to the late Everett and Coral (Cusac) Ritter. Marvin was a 1959 graduate of McComb High School and earned his bachelor's degree in business from Bluffton College. On October 27, 1963, he married Jean Ann von Stein, and she survives. Also surviving are his children, Steve (Missy) Ritter, Bluffton, OH, Bruce (Ronda) Ritter, rural Findlay, OH, and Cheryl (Dusty) Sonnenberg, Hamler, OH; 7 grandchildren, Courtney (Jacoby) Wilson, Joel Ritter, Megan (Chase) Shoemaker, Aimee Ritter, Eric Ritter, Cody Sonnenberg, and Bailey Sonnenberg. Also surviving is Marvin's sister, Elaine Hartman, Wauseon, OH. Preceding Marvin in death, his brother, Earl Ritter. Marvin was a lifelong grain and livestock farmer, and also worked in Accounts Payable at Cooper Tire from 1964 to 1972. Marvin was an active member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jenera, OH where he served on the audit committee as well as a deacon and elder for many years, and held the position of secretary of the church council. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, where the family will receive friends and guests for visitation 1-hour prior (10:00 - 11:00 AM) to the service at the church. Pastor Matthew Nowak will officiate with burial to follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Jenera, OH. Memorial contributions can be directed to Trinity Lutheran Evangelical Church, or Trinity Lutheran School. All arrangements have been entrusted to Crates Funeral Home, Arlington, OH.
