Judith R. Lyon, 86, of Findlay passed away at 9:19 p.m., Sunday, February 20, 2021, at her residence. She was born on May 20, 1934 in Park Ridge, Illinois to the late Arthur and Hilda (Winkelhaus) Doherr. She had been married to Arthur Richter and Guy Lyon and they preceded her in death. Judy is survived by her daughters: Sheri (David) Murphy of Findlay, Kristie (Wayne) Floyd of Charleston, South Carolina and Karin Richter of Charleston, South Carolina; grandsons: Andrew (Julia) Murphy, Nicholas (Liana) Murphy, Weston Floyd, Adam (Lauren) Floyd and Travis Graziano; great grandchildren: Kaden Murphy, Adrian Murphy and Ellie Dustin; sisters: Marlene (Donald) Rand of Glenview, Illinois, Bonnie (Donald) Gustafson of Spring, Texas and Terry (James) Hommer of Libertyville, Texas. Judy earned her Bachelors Degree from Michigan State University and retired as President of the Judson Palmer Home in Findlay after 44 years of service. She was a great seamstress and her greatest joy was being with her family. She earned the nickname of "Sparkles" because of her ability to light up the room with her personality. On March 13, 2021, the family extends an invitation to a "Memories and Margaritas" get together from 1-4pm at 1101 Graceland Avenue in Findlay. All other services will be private and handled by Coldren-Crates Funeral Home in Findlay. Memorials may be made to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson Foundation, P.O. Box 5014 Hagerstown, MD. 21741-5014.
