Edith Eleanor Young, 78, of Findlay passed away at Blanchard Valley Hospital on Sunday, February 7, 2021. She was born on June 28, 1942 in Big Island, Ohio to the late Bernie and Mildred (Goad) Litteral. She married Larry C. Young on Sept. 14, 1968 and he preceded her in death in 2004. Surviving her are two sisters, B. Marie Snyder and Linda McCoy; goddaughter, Julianna (Tom) Thompson; three nieces, Desiree McEntire, Denise Lehman and Crystal Westhoven; two nephews, Brendon (Brittany) Thompson and Jacob (Morgen) Thompson and a great-niece, Reagan and great-nephew, Zach. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Ray Goad and Bernie Litteral. Edith served in the US Army from 1961-62. She retired from Intersil following 38 years of service. Visitation will be held from 3:00-6:00pm Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME where the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad will present full military rites at 6:00pm. Edith was such a great lady! My parents were good friends with Larry and Carey Young. I waited on Edith for years at the propane company till we put the connection together. I will always hear her say “hey kid how are you doing?” I will always cherish my visits with her. Rest in peace Edith! You will always hold a special place in my heart. You all are in my prayers.
