Condolences to your family. I went to Jefferson Elementary and was involved in the Glee Club, Choir, and Ensemble that Mrs. Glick organized. I remember many a lunchtime Ensemble practice with all of us standing around her piano while she played and we sang.

I have many fond memories from my school days at Jefferson and Mrs. Glick is in many of them. She inspired me to follow in her footsteps as a teacher. A couple of years ago she subbed for me and my students couldn't believe that a teacher of mine was subbing for me! She always had a smile on her face and I enjoyed the chats we would have. I still have a note she left for me after she subbed in my classroom. She will be greatly missed. Heaven has gained a beautiful musician. My deepest sympathy to all of you.

We are sending our deepest condolences for you as you mourn, and our heartfelt prayers as you celebrate Nancy’s beautiful life and her home going. We were so blessed to have her play Christmas carols on her harp at our wedding, and I have such fond memories of her leading our youth chorus at Community Bible Church so many years ago. Her love and spirit will live on in all who knew her.

I remember Miss Zuber, then Mrs. Glick from her earliest days at Jefferson. Later I took piano lessons from her, as did some of my siblings. She was always lovely, kind, and encouraging. Always. I have very fond memories of her.

I remember fondly the many times I had the pleasure of working with Nancy as she masterfully played the harp. At Ohio Northern, with the Lima Civic Chorus and at my church she was always a blessed addition to several musical presentations. You have my deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers 🙏🏻 in this time of great loss as she continues her prowess in heaven.

I was very saddened to read that Nancy had passed. I had the privilege of knowing her beginning in 1968 when we were both teaching at Jefferson Elementary School in Findlay. She was truly an amazing and fantastic person, teacher, and musician. We would continue to cross paths while participating in area music productions and teaching music at Bluffton University. She was a wonderful friend and I will never forget her. My thoughts are with the Glick family.

What a wonderful person! Nancy was my mother's coworker at Jefferson Elementary for almost twenty years, she was my 5th grade teacher and my brother's 6th grade. Her choir direction was fantastic. I remember her strumming her autoharp and playing the piano. For choir concerts she always had a little card atop the piano that only we could see that said "smile". I think that is what I will remember best about Nancy is her smile. The Glicks were also our next door neighbors here on Hobart Ave where my mother still lives. You all had the best trained dog. It would lie down on the edge of your yard and watch us play ball, but it never crossed that boundary without youry7z permission. Mom felt blessed that Gerald and Nancy could attend her 95th birthday party at the Hancock Hotel. Nancy will be missed. She was a great, talented loving person. She touched the lives of all our family. She made me a better person.

Our family like so many, are truly grateful for Nancy's life, her spirit, patience and talents shared with our children and with us. Our children Rob, Mindy and Lance were students at Jefferson Elementary. Nancy got non singers to sing and gave each child a taste of life on the stage with smiles on their faces. She also taught them the rewards of doing their best and redoing something when it wasn't correct. Nancy was a fine teacher who gave an extra measure of herself. Her good works live on in the lives of her many students.
Be proud of what she did. May you soon come to remember the Nancy you knew when Alzheimers was not apart of her life. Heal and live life for her. Suzi and Dave Healy

The Healys, like so many other families whose children had Mrs.Glick as a teacher, we are sad yet grateful for Nancy. We appreciated her patience, her talents and her ability to inspire our young students. Nancy had non singers singing and others involved in theater and enjoying these earliest of experiences with music and other studies. Nancy inspired good work and good work ethics which are without measure.
We hope that you will soon remember Nancy and her spirit as she was before Alzheimers was apart of her life.

Our family lived across the street from Jefferson School and we loved Mrs. Glick as a classroom teacher, music teacher and person. I became a teacher and credit her energy and caring in leading me to my own career. Mrs. Glick came to visit me when I returned to Findlay and Whittier Elementary. That meant the world to me! Her music programs, and classroom teaching, was the best! She believed in all of us and sincerely cared. Caring thoughts and prayers to your family. Our memories will last a lifetime. Dear Gerald and Family,
I am amazed at Nancy’s obituary. You and Nancy have shared a very busy and productive life with her academics, teaching, church and extensive work with the Gideons. May you be richly blessed for those many years of care giving with Nancy at home and finally for this past year at Bluffton.

I am sending a memorial gift for Nancy to the Gideons International.

May you and your family be guided through this time with many blessings and much love from our loving God.

Rich

To the family of Nancy Glick--
I knew Nancy and greatly admired her friendly spirit and musical ability. In about 2005 she and I worked together on a project I called "American History in Song." I created a program of highlights of American history and thought of songs that depicted each era. Nancy found the music somewhere and I created a songbook and she accompanied me on piano or harp when we presented our program.
I will always treasure the good times we had in the presentation of those programs.
I want to thank Gerald for the good care he gave Nancy during the recent years of her illness.

I was on Coldren Crates’ site because my mother just passed and noticed this. Mrs. Glick was such a favorite teacher of mine in 5th grade at Jefferson Elementary. Her gift of music influenced my love for it, and participation in all city 6th Grade Choir. But I also know my states and capitals so well thanks to Nancy Glick’s large US board with all of them on there. I can still see her smile and genuine care for her students. My sincere condolences to the family!
