Nancy Marie McIntosh, age 75, of Findlay, Ohio passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at her residence, in the presence of her loving husband of 56 years, and family. She was born April 22, 1944 in Findlay, Ohio to parents John H. and Avenelle Marie (Wittebort) Kelly. On June 6, 1964 she married James L. McIntosh, who survives. She is also survived by sons: A. Scott McIntosh and wife Liz of Carlisle, MA, and William J. McIntosh and wife Julie of Findlay OH; daughter, Teresa Steed and husband Doug of Toledo OH; three grandchildren: Britney (Nicholas) Rackley, Jayna Steed, and James McIntosh; brother, Timothy Kelly of Findlay OH; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, John and Avenelle Kelly; Nancy was also predeceased by a brother, PFC Michael J. Kelly, KIA in Vietnam in 1968; and sister, Joyce H. Miller. Nancy graduated from Findlay High School, Class of 1962, and was an active member of the High School marching band, orchestra, theater, and vocalist, performing at various events. She worked as an operator at Ohio Bell Telephone Company. Later, she worked at various restaurants as a bartender and server including WigWam, The Dark Horse, The Rocking U, and The Gathering. She was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, both at home and their many performances and athletic events. She enjoyed attending many athletic events for Scott, Bill, and Teresa throughout their youth including baseball, wrestling, football, and softball. Nancy was an avid supporter of the University of Findlay athletics. She supported her husband Jim for over 20 years coaching football. These journeys covered trips from the east coast to the west coast and to far way places like Germany. Upon retirement, Nancy enjoyed escaping the winter cold to their condo in North Fort Meyers, FL with her beloved cat Callie. A service of remembrance will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, 205 W Sandusky St, Findlay, OH 45840. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 18 from 4:00–7:00pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to The Hancock County Humane Society. Nancy was one of the first to welcome me into the Kelly family at Christmas time when I was a kid and that made me feel so accepted. I remember she was always smiling and laughing and having a good time and that good time was infectious... I will miss her.
