William "Bill" Barfield, Jr., 73, of Findlay passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at The James Cancer Center in Columbus. He was born on July 8, 1946 to the late William, Sr. and Bertha (Wiley) Barfield. He married Veronica (Tiell) Craley on August 15, 1980 and she survives. Also surviving are daughters: Tabitha Craley, Monica Barfield, and Lora (Brad) Dugger; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a special grandson, Takel Norman (Bill spent time with him, as they both enjoyed watching Sci-Fi movies, fishing, hanging out and Bill also enjoyed teaching Takel how to use tools); sister, Toni Pullom; and brother, Thomas Barfield. He will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a son, Jason Tiell; two sisters: Sandra and Elaine Barfield; and a brother, Roy Barfield. Bill was a graduate of Fostoria High School and retired from Honeywell Corporation in 1996, following 31 years of service. He coached Young Miss Softball and served on its board. He also worked part-time for ACE Hardware in Findlay and various other part-time jobs. Bill enjoyed camping, traveling, fishing, and bowling with his kids and grandchildren, and gaming with his wife. Visitation will be held from 1:00-5:00pm on Monday, November 25, 2019 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held directly after visitation at 5:00pm Monday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, or to a charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences can be shared by visiting coldrencrates.com.
