Paul Samuel Ruehle, 72, of rural Van Buren passed away at 12:28 am on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay. He was born on December 7, 1946 in Adrian, OH to the late R. Dean and Ruth M. (Romig) Ruehle. On October 16, 1998, he married Karen Jean Titus, and she survives. Paul is also survived by his daughters: Pamela K. (Michael Dillon) Wittenmyer of Arlington, OH, Paula J. (Rich) DePuy of Findlay; stepchildren: Dustin (Heather) Ellerbrock of Glandorf, and Katrina M. (Ryan Hadding) Ellerbrock of Ottawa; brothers: Jack (Carolyn) Ruehle of Arlington, Richard H. (Carol, deceased) Ruehle of Findlay, Robert Ruehle of Findlay, Donald (Julie) Ruehle of Van Buren, and Carl Ruehle of Alvada; sisters: Joyce (Dean) Benjamin of Arlington, and Virginia (Robert) Snyder of Findlay; 13 grandchildren: Bryce, Gregory, Katelyn, Justin, Jared, Madison, Mackenzi, Aubri, Brayden, Preston, Emberleigh, Harper, and Harlie; 2 great-grandchildren: Noah and Benjamin; and many nieces and nephews. Paul was a 1965 graduate of Findlay High School and served as a sergeant in the US Army from 1966 to 1968, during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Findlay AMVETS Post #21 and the DAV. Paul was also a retired truck driver for Findlay Truck Line, where he had worked for 30 years. Paul loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, woodworking, cutting wood, and riding his Harley-Davidson Motorcycle. Paul also loved gardening and farming, especially growing pumpkins for his grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Al Stewart will officiate. Full military rites will be provided by the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad. Memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Rd, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256 or to Bridge Home Health and Hospice, 15100 Birchaven Lane, Findlay, OH 45840. Growing up, Paul was one of my best friends and almost every Sunday Joe Shafer, Paul, and I would ride our bikes around the farms always having fun. Paul was a fellow Vietnam Veteran and I salute him for his service. My deepest condolences to the family.
