Charles Andrew "Chuck" Haag, 89, of Findlay, passed away at 12:40pm on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Blanchard Valley Hospital. Chuck was born in Effingham, IL on July 5, 1930, to the late Festus and Clara (Wholtman) Haag. On May 26, 1957, Chuck married Jeanette E. Porter, and she survives. The marriage was blessed with one son, Bruce A. (Emily E.) Haag of Findlay. Chuck has one brother, Donald (Zetta) Haag of Effingham, IL; nephew, David Haag of Effington, IL; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Lemons of Findlay. Chuck proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In 1956, Chuck graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in accounting. Chuck was then hired by Marathon Oil Company and moved to Findlay. Many years later he retired from Marathon. Chuck was a very active member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, serving in many different offices, and also as a Sunday School Teacher. He enjoyed writing articles and stories for the church newsletter. Chuck was a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2019 from 1:00-5:00pm at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. The funeral service will be on Monday, September 30, 2019 at 11:00am, with visitation one hour prior (10:00-11:00am) at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Findlay. Pastor Robert Krueger will officiate. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery with Full Military Graveside Services conducted by the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad. Memorials may be made to the Marathon Center for Performing Arts or the American Heart Association. Online condolences may be left at
