Michael Dean Ricksecker
1964 - 2019
Michael Dean Ricksecker, 55 of Jenera, Ohio passed away at 3:10pm on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Bridge Hospice in Findlay. Michael was born on July 3, 1964 in Findlay, Ohio to Paul and Nancy (Hindall) Oates. On June 22, 1991 Michael married Teresa (Hawk) Ricksecker, who survives. Michael is also survived by his mother, Nancy; a son, William "Bill" Ricksecker of Van Wert, Ohio; and three daughters: Siobhan K (Nicholas) Marquardt of Convoy, Ohio, Amie Ricksecker of Findlay, Ohio, and Mikaela Ricksecker of Jenera, Ohio. Michael is also survived by sisters: Deb Neville of Findlay, OH, Wendy (Dave) Evans of Findlay, OH, and April Lowe of Cleveland, TN; step-brothers: Steve Melick of Van Buren, and Jeff (Ellen) Melick of Michigan; step-mother, Barb Ricksecker; and three grandchildren: Emma, Ryder, and Breccan. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul; his brothers: Paul and Randy Ricksecker. Michael was a dispatcher in later years and spent many years driving truck. Michael was a life-time member of the American Legion 63 in Ottawa, OH, the DAV, and the Findlay Radio Club. He was also a Driver's Education Instructor and volunteered at numerous other organizations. Friends and family are invited to gather beginning at 3:00pm on Monday, September 23, 2019 at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 800 South Main Street, Findlay, Ohio. A celebration service will follow at 4:00pm, with Pastor Gregg Fox officiating. Military rights will be presented immediately following the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
