Douglas A. Deppler, 67, of Findlay passed away at his residence on Thursday, August 29, 2019. He was born in Bluffton, Ohio to the late James P. and Mary Lou (Shafer) Deppler. He was a graduate of Liberty-Benton High School (1970) and served his country in the US Army. He previously worked as an over the road truck driver, then owned a Coca-Cola route, and Pepperidge Farms delivery route. Doug loved bowling and golf as well as the time he spent socializing with his friends at the AMVETS. Doug also spent many hours cheering for his beloved Detroit Tigers and Lions as well as the Ohio State Buckeyes. He is survived by a brother, R. James "Jim" Deppler of Gallatin, TN. Visitation will be held at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 from 5:00-7:00pm. A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Maple Grove Cemetery, where the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad will present full military rites.
