Dr. Rinehart was a well respected, professional educator. He held many meetings and helped grad school students further their education by his instructions and sense of really caring for their programs. He was chairman of my doctoral committee and guided my committee members toward assisting me to earn my doctoral degree. He will be greatly missed!

I am sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I was a student of Jim's at VB, and he was by far one of my favorite teachers. I regret that I never sought him out in the following years to express my appreciation ...not just as a teacher but as a genuine good person always available with a smile or good piece of advice. He was a good man, and I'm sure will be missed by many
