printable version

Terry Lynn Fletcher, 59, of Findlay, Ohio, was discovered in his home on Sunday March 3rd, 2019 from natural causes. Terry was born September 1st, 1959 in Findlay to Betty Fletcher and Everett Fletcher. He was born and raised in Findlay with his two brothers, Rex (the eldest) and Tim (middle). Rex and his wife, Melissa, have two daughters, Devynn and Sydney. Tim and Shirley also have two daughters, Dusti and Taylor (Martin). Taylor has two children of her own, Julianna and Hayden. Their beloved mother, Betty Fletcher, passed away in June of 2004. Terry has a son, James, at 36. He is currently single and lives in Arizona. He has four children: Kingston, Zeus, Josiah, and Anastasjia. Terry has also lived in Louisiana and California where he worked on oil rigs. He moved back to Findlay in 1995. Among Terry Fletcher’s possessions, lists of his family members on separate pieces of paper and in the beginning of his treasured Bible can be found. His lists speak of his thankfulness and love for each family member. His collection of personal writings and Bible are full of fervid notes and thoughts, inner markings that were pulled straight from the heart. Among this collection are names upon names of people he prayed and hoped for. He wrote out his fervent desire to become closer to family and to help the world one step at a time. He made donations to charities, such as the City Mission of Findlay, Operation Smile, and the Christian Broadcasting Network, and wrote out goals for volunteer work and to better himself. He also has several poems and songs, handwritten and typed out. They speak of his devotion and love towards a tangible God. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME where a memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2019. A celebration of his life will be held at the Moose immediately following the service at the funeral home Tuesday, March 19, 2019. Remembering Terry and thinking of Rex and Tim and the family mourning Terry's passing. It doesn't seem all that long ago that we were all together at times and at others it seems like another lifetime ago. Love you all like brothers and my heart goes out to you. Terry no longer will suffer the pains of this life and will know the love of the Creator which is boundless.

I am sorry for your loss and wish to extend my condolences. Death was never part of the equation that God had purposed for us. We were designed and created to live forever. He has promised to eliminate not only death, it all things that cause us any kind of pain and suffering. (Revlation 21:4) Soon the words regarding the resurrection found at John 5:28, 29 will take place and give us opportunity to welcome back our loved ones to a restored paradise earth and live forever. (Psalms 37:29) May these promises that are found in the Bible bring you a measure of hope and comfort.

Terry was my schoolmate, playmate, and all around buddy while the Yingling boys lived a few blocks down from the Fletcher boys on Madison Ave back in mid '60s and early '70s. He was a big part of the many happy memories of growing up in those times. While saddened to hear of his passing, it's consoling to know that he is in heaven, reunited with Betty. And I'm certain he'll get a hug from my mom, Margie, also. For Tim, my first other older brother, and Rex, my first guitar hero, you and your families will be in my prayers. Keep the faith.

So sorry for your loss. I knew Terry and Tim both from High school. I was pleasantly surprised to run in to Terry some years later in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico. What a unique and open guy. I'm sure you have many fun and happy memories to comfort you.
