Ronald Eugene Howell, 70, of rural Bluffton was Promoted to Glory on February 3, 2019, he passed at his home in the care of hospice. He was born on June 25, 1948 to the late Herbert and Edna (Cupples) Howell. He graduated from Cory-Rawson High School in 1966 and received his associate of Electronic Engineering in 1974 from Lima Technical College. He served in the US Navy from June 9, 1967 until June 14, 1971. He married Catherine Sue Finerd on Sept. 11, 1971 at the Salvation Army (Findlay, Ohio) and she survives. Also surviving are a son, Jason Eugene Howell of Ada; a daughter, Rosella Lynne Howell of Findlay; grandson, Dillon; and sister, Charlotte Ann (Ron) Brauneller of Rawson. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Darrell Howell. Ron worked as an electrician at the Ford Engine Plant in Lima for over 30 years prior to his retirement on June 1, 2008. Ron was a member of the Salvation Army Church in Findlay. He was an amateur radio operator and enjoyed camping and trail riding with his wife and their Tennessee Walkers, Jack and Prince. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2019 at the Salvation Army, 301 Center Street, Findlay. Memorials can be directed to the Salvation Army, 301 Center Street, Findlay. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery where the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad will present full military rites. Online condolences can be shared by visiting
