Eddie D. Gossman, 88, of Findlay, passed away at the Heritage Manor in Findlay on Thursday, January 24, 2018. He was born on December 25, 1930 in Eagle Township, Hancock County to the late Ira and Lula (Redick) Gossman. On November 21, 1951, he married Norma L. Riggle, and she survives. Eddie is also survived by a son, Mark E. Gossman of Findlay; brother, Leon E. (Leila M.) Gossman of Arlington; and sister, Rosalyn (Carl W.) Loetz of rural Jenera. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara L. Gossman; and a sister, Yvonne I. Redd. Eddie was a 1948 graduate of Arlington High School. He served his country proudly with the United States Marines during the Korean War, where he was a Sergeant with the Second Marine Division. Eddie was a former member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jenera and held various offices within the church. He is currently a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church and the Findlay Men’s Garden Club. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Pastor Kelly Sterling will preside and burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery with full Military Graveside Rites conducted by The Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 11:00am to 1:00pm, at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at coldrencrates.com.

So sorry to read of Eddie’s passing. So glad to read about his life, though. No idea before reading this of his service for our country, and the many ways he showed his love for the Lord. May all of you from my mother’s ( Eddie’s Aunt Birdie) family find peace and comfort!
