Steven Douglas Solomon, 58, of Findlay, passed away at 8:54 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019. He was born on August 31, 1960 to Douglas and Barbara (Rohr) Solomon. His father is deceased. He married Kimberley Kocher on August 19, 1995 and she survives. Also surviving are his two sons: Noah and Seth Solomon of Findlay; close family friends: Simon, Heather, Hayden, and Noah Chan of Findlay; his mother and step-father: Barbara and Clyde Jackson of Mansfield; two sisters: Shelli Schrock (Darrel) of Merton, Wisconsin and Staci Good (Rob) of Tucson, Arizona; and his uncle, Dennis (Diana) Solomon of Albuquerque, New Mexico; along with many nieces and nephews. Steven was a 1978 graduate of Lexington High School. He received his bachelor's degree from Ohio University and has worked in the IT field for many years as an IT Systems Administrator. Steve was very active in the church communities throughout his life, and was a faithful servant in each community he was a member of. He was a devout member of the Hancock County Conservation League and a passionate lifetime member of the NRA. Solly enjoyed spending time with his wife Kimberley, and his boys, as well as a good bourbon and a cigar. A celebration of his life will be held on January 13th from 5-9pm at Fireside Brick Oven in Findlay. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Nationwide Children's Hospital or to Awakening Minds in his memory. Online condolences can be shared with the family by visiting coldrencrates.com. I was so saddened to see that Steve passed away. I met him when he worked at Cooper Tire, and he always had a kind thing to say. I am so glad that I was able to meet him and share conversation with him. I am praying for you and your family during this difficult time.

I only got the chance to know Steve a short time while we both worked at Dana. I always enjoyed talking with him. It was evident how much he loved his family in conversation with him. Hope it helps to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
