Virginia Mae (Carles) Zechman, 79, formerly of Findlay, currently of Gilboa, OH, died at 1:55pm on Thursday, March 7th at home with her family. Virginia was born February 16th, 1940 to the late Robert and Sarah (Sheater) Carles. She married Francis Zechman on October 22, 1983 and he preceded her in death on March 26, 1999. Virginia is survived by her daughter Holly (Woods) Blue and her son-in-law Chad Blue of Gilboa, OH; a sister Betty Moser, of Findlay, OH; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Virginia also leaves behind her companion of 14 years, Donald Oates of Findlay, OH and many beloved friends. Virginia was also preceded in death by her sister, Wilma Webster, and her brother, Melvin Carles, both of Findlay, OH and her beloved dog Trixie. Virginia loved spending time with loved ones and trips to the casino. She will always be known as a loving mother and wonderful friend. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2019 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2019 and one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice and also to the Humane Society of Hancock County. Online condolences can be expressed at
