Jay "Tom" VanSant, 80 of Findlay passed away at his home on Sunday, February 7, 2021. He was born to Clarence and Elsie VanSant on March 13, 1940. He married Cindy S. Tavenier on June 7, 1969 in Findlay and she survives. Also surviving are two children, Randy (Brandy) VanSant; Rhonda (Don) Clark; five grandchildren, Dustin VanSant, Ceara (Brent) Abraham, Donny (Tileigh) Clark, Jessica (Andrew) McKee and Owen Clark; and 11 great-grandchildren, Riah, Andrew, James, Mia VanSant, Gabbi, Sophi and Zeke Abraham, Kyleigh, Logan and Macie McKee and Maddox Clark. He was also preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. Tom served in the US Army from 1963-64 stationed in Korea. He retired as a truck driver and was a member of the DAV, VFW, AmVets and Moose. A private service will be held for the family and burial will be in Knollcrest Cemetery, Pastor Leonard Roessler officiating. Full military rites will be presented by the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. I'm so so sorry aunt Cindy. My heart is broken too !! He was like my second dad . I'm going to miss sitting in the kitchen having coffee with him . And trash talking the Michigan team lol.
