Jerry G. Blem, 86, of Findlay passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family. Jerry was born on November 2, 1932 in Williamstown to the late Dwight and Jessie Belle (Patterson) Blem. Jerry married Ruth A. Halsey on July 19, 1952 in Kenton and she passed away on November 26, 2006. Jerry is survived by two daughters: Teresa J. (Jim) Burnham, and Sharon (Randy) Radabaugh, both of Findlay. Jerry was blessed with six granddaughters and eight great-grandchildren. Jerry's brother, Joe L. (Barb) Blem, lives in Arlington. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, and a brother, Jack Blem. Jerry was a 1950 graduate of Arlington High School and enjoyed the monthly meeting with classmates. His memberships include: AMVETS, DAV, Moose Lodge No. 698, and 54 years in the Findlay Bowling League. Jerry worked 24 years as a supervisor at Sanipure Dairy and 24 years at Archer Daniels Midland as a Stationary Engineer. Visitation will be held Monday, January 28, 2019 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with the funeral service held on Tuesday at 10:30 AM at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Jerry was my older brother and we loved each other very much. he was a wonderful man and was loved by everyone that new him. I will miss him and I know all of his many friends will also. I’m so sorry for your loss. Jerry came in to the salon for me to take care of his feet. I loved seeing his name in my books. He was always so sweet and brought a smile to the room. Loved hearing his stories about playing euchre and all the fun he was having. I know he will be missed by many!!
