Shirley A. Wiler, 83, of Findlay, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2019 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. She was born on February 8, 1935 in Wharton, Ohio to the late Leon and Leona (Counts) Sheldon. On October 20, 1951, she married Merrill E. Wiler, and he preceded her in death on April 19, 1999. Shirley is survived by her daughters: Karen S. (Gary E.) Conine of Fostoria and Debra M (Paul) Ritz of Marblehead, Ohio; her brother, Jerry (Sue) Sheldon of McComb; her sister, Barbara Smith of Findlay; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, David E. Wiler; and her brothers: Martin Hunt and Arthur Sheldon. Shirley worked at Boss Glove Factory for several years and at Ball Metal for 16 years. She loved to bowl and entertained the family during the summer pond parties as Lady Gaga. She was also a foster mom to many. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 2:00 PM at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Pastor Ron Dorman will officiate. Burial will follow at Knollcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:00-11:30am and 1:00-2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bridge Home Health & Hospice in Shirley’s name.
