Ted Leroy Garrett
1944 - 2020
Ted Garrett, 76, of Alvada, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 4, 2020. Ted was born on October 25, 1944 to the late Paul and Marguerite Sue (Spitler) Garrett. He is survived by his longtime companion, Linda Garrett, children Terry Garrett, Teania (Daniel Belcher) Garrett and Rob Garrett. Grandchildren Bailey, Macey, Sean, Patrick, Anna, Cameron and Cori, and great granddaughter, Alyssa, and his sister, Peg (Bob) Hill. Upon graduation from high school, Ted earned his associates degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and then enlisted in the Air Force. Ted was very skilled, holding many careers and hobbies, including aircraft mechanic, machinist and inventor, where he was skilled at building racecars that he would race himself. Ted could fix or build anything and friends and neighbors were always gathered to watch. Ted was a joyful soul, and will be remembered as a warm and generous person who was always there to help or teach whenever he could. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later appointed time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in Ted's honor to The Wounded Warrior Project, or Bridge Home Health and Hospice.
