My sincerest condolences to the Baughman family.

Jim ("Mr. B.") was my Scoutmaster and teacher and is my friend. I had the privilege to meet Della on a few occasions when I was a kid. I can vouch for her being a fantastic cook -- once I volunteered to help do some painting at her place and she fixed us the most amazing "farm breakfast". I also got to participate in a taffy pull at her place.

I treasure these memories and celebrate her life well lived. May your family be comforted by your own memories. God bless.

To "The Bossy Kids": I have many fond memories of the times spent with your mother. We shared a double sundae at the rim of the Grand Canyon once where she told me that Gerald always left her have his cherry from atop his sundaes. And, without dropping a beat, she whipped that sundae dish around and stole MY cherry from atop MY HALF of that sundae. We shared that laugh for many years! Aunt Della was a gem.

I am so deeply sorry & wish I could be there to pay my final respects to a wonderful lady. I could not have envisioned a more perfect mother-in-law who was kind, helpful, accepting, with a great sense of humor & quick laugh!
It seemed no matter when we visited, there were noodles, tapioca pudding & angel food cake (of course!) on the menu; pizza night & games were always on the agenda. Who can forget the gallon ice cream tubs filled with traditional treats of chocolate covered cherries, maples centers & the best homemade caramels in the world at Christmas?!
If there's a game room in Heaven, I have no doubt she has instigated a game of Rummikub, Sequence or dominos, and having the best time!

Your mother was one of a kind and the greatest neighbor anyone could have. We will miss her deeply ( she was like a grandma to our daughters) so on behalf of our families we would like to send our deepest sympathies to you and your families. With that said Della and on the wings of a dove may you fly to heaven rejoicing.🕊

Della was a big influence in my life. She sponsored youth activities at St. Paul, always had a ready smile, and very helpful. Many youth get togethers were at her home and well attended. St. Paul was such an active church at the time. Ded would point to the cemetery from his SS class and say that would be his last class, then laugh.
