Bernice A. Okuly

1916 - 2012

Bernice A. Okuly, 96, passed away at 7:35 a.m. on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at The Heritage in Findlay. She was born on March 29, 1916 in McComb, Ohio to the late Eugene E. and Maude (Bryan) Kersh. Bernie married Paul A. Okuly on November 26, 1938 and he preceded her in death on December 10, 1992. Bernie is survived by two sons: James A. (Marsha) Okuly of Fostoria and Jay A. (Jan) Okuly of Arlington; one daughter, Judy A. Lord of Bryan; one sister, Donna Walsh of McComb; eight grandchildren: Jason Okuly, Jeanna Wehrle, Tracy O'Brien-Bollenbaugh, Terri Morr, Jennifer Jolliff, Jamie Marshall, Christine Chamberlin and Nicholas Bash, 15 great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Florence Okuly of Findlay. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward L. Kersh and a son-in-law, James R. Lord. Bernie was a former resident of Grand Court, Findlay and was a member of the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 with funeral services following at 12:00 p.m. at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Msgr Michael Hohenbrink will officiate and burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore. Memorial contributions may be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice.
