Mary F. Lawson

Mary Lawson, 78, of North Baltimore, died at 6:35 p.m., Sunday, July 15, 2012, at Briar Hill Health Campus, North Baltimore. She was born on January 24, 1934, in Wood County, to the late Robert and Velma D. (Thomas) Deerwester. She married Charles "Chuck" Lawson on June 20, 1953, and he survives. Also surviving is a son, Robert Leo Lawson of Bowling Green; A brother, Bill (Miriam) Deerwester of Findlay; a nephew, Todd (Christine) Deerwester of Findlay; a niece, Susan (Jim) Newell of Fairborn, OH. Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Lawson. She was a homemaker. Mary was a member of St. James United Methodist Church and the North Baltimore American Legion Post 539. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 19, 2012, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, with Reverend Rick Adams officiating. Burial will be in New Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore. Visitation will be held from 2-4:00 and 6-8:00 p.m., Wednesday at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME.
