Thomas Paul Wilhelm, 70, of Findlay passed away at 8:40 a.m. on Friday, October 26, 2012 at Blanchard Valley Hospital. He was born on July 31, 1942, to the late Paul and Wilma (Hahn) Wilhelm in Wood County, OH. He married Linda Peterson on July 25, 1964, and she survives.
Thomas is also survived by sons: Brian (Erika) Wilhelm of Jacksonville Beach, FL; Mark (Tracy) Wilhelm of Continental, OH; daughter, Tricia (Collin) Brodine of Findlay; brother, Dan (Nonie) Wilhelm of Findlay; brother-in-law Gary Bryant of Vandalia, OH; grandchildren: Briana, Andrew, Erica, Travis, Jesse, Morgan, Kaylee , Alyssa and a great-grandson, Trevor. He was preceded in death by a sister Karen Bryant.
Thomas was a 1960 graduate of Leipsic High School, where he played basketball, football, and baseball and lettered in all 3. He then graduated from Tiffin University, and played basketball on the 1962 team. He was the Regional Manager of Job and Family Services, Bowling Green and Findlay. He retired from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services in 2004 after 35 years of service.
Thomas was a lifetime member of the U.C.O.A. Club and son of the AMVETS Post 21 in Findlay. He was an avid hunter with his friends (The Five Amigos) and son Mark, loved golfing, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren. Thomas was also a Findlay Little League coach for many years.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Services will be private. Memorials contributions may be made to AMVETS Post 21 Findlay or Cancer Patient Services. Online condolences may be made via www.coldrencrates.com.

Linda and family Tom Willy was one of my favorite people at Tiffin University He was in the Sigs with Ted Gary and me and was also an important player on our 1962 team when we won the Lake Erie Conference title My late wife Rita really liked Willy he was always a great guy and lots of fun to be around I am so glad I was able to see him this summer in Findlay You have my deepest sympathy
