William Edward Beard
1937 - 2012
William E. Beard, 75 of Fremont and formerly of Findlay and Tucson, AZ died at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, October 15, 2012 at Countryside Continuing Care Center, Fremont. He was born in Findlay on August 8, 1937 to the late Earl W. "Izzy" and Peg (Ritchey) Loudenslager. In 1957 he married Gertrude "Genie" Leaf and they divorced in 1988. He is survived by his daughters, Barbara (Eric) Zoog of Columbus, Ohio, Angie (Jay) DeWitt of Tucson, AZ, Cathy Beard of Iron Station, NC, son, Billy (Amy) Beard of Charlotte, NC, eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a sister, Sue (Phil) Stover of Fremont, Ohio. William loved the outdoors especially fishing, camping, hiking in Arizona. He also enjoyed traveling and telling stories. Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 19, 2012 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, with Pastor Chris Cravens officiating. A private burial will take place at a later date.
