John Robert Earlie, 79, of Findlay, died at 3:25 a.m., Saturday, August 18, 2012, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. He was born on July 11, 1933, in Findlay, to the late Joseph and Mary (Laube) Earlie. He married Carol Jean Donaldson on November 17, 1962, and she survives. Also surviving are brothers: Charles (Nancy) Earlie and Michael (Ruth Ann) Earlie, both of Findlay; sisters: Mary Kube of Columbus and Teresa Bertrum of CA. John was preceded in death by brothers: Tommy and Joey Earlie; sisters: Kathryn Poofty and Rose Sargent. John retired after 30 years from The United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 1138 as a carpenter. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served our country in the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the American Legion Post 3. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, where full military rites will be conducted by the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad. Rev. Msgr. Michael Hohenbrink officiating. Visitation will be held 2 hours (2:00-4:00 p.m.) prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 3 and/or Hancock County Agency on Aging. Online condolences may be made at www.coldrencrates.com.
