Phyllis J. Kennedy, 81, of Findlay passed away at 6:09 p.m. on Monday, July 30, 2012 at Birchaven Village. She was born in Houcktown on November 25, 1930 to the late Daris G. and Gyneth L. (Foltz) Bibler. On February 3, 1957 she married George W. Kennedy and he preceded her in death on October 30, 2000. Phyllis is survived by two sons: Thomas G. (Lisa) Kennedy of Bradner and William A. (Kim) Kennedy of Findlay, brother William E. (Alice) Bibler of Findlay, sister Peggy (Jerry) Barnhouse of Elida, eight grandchildren, one step-grandchild, five great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Ruth Jeannette Zink. Phyllis was a member of the Lions Aux. since 1980 where she held all offices. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge, former member of the Womens Division of the Chamber of Commerce and a member of First Christian Church where she baked cinnamon rolls for the church bazaar for 30 years. She loved sporting events, especially Ohio State Football, Pittsburg Steelers, Lakers Basketball and NASCAR. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 2:00 -8:00 p.m. at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 3, 2012 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, with Pastor Chris Cravens and Pastor Rick Pulling officiating. Burial will follow in Houcktown Cemetery. Condolences can be sent via www.coldrencrates.com.
