Carroll Riddle

Carroll Riddle, 73, of Findlay passed away at 1:10 p.m. on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at his residence. He was born on October 20, 1938, in Spencer, VA, to the late Arthur and Catheryn (McCoy) Riddle. He married Rose Etta Hurd on August 13, 1957, and she survives. Also surviving are daughters: Vickie Warner of Findlay and Valerie (Jerry) Mannor of Petersburg, MI; a son, Scott (Heather) Riddle of Arlington; a brother, Michael Riddle; sisters: Joyce (Carl) Edgar and Linda (Jim) Hartman; grandchildren: Amanda (Josh) Tolles, Michael Doyle, Michael Warner, Shane Warner, Bethany (Jason) Baughman, Jessica (Kevin) Stauffer, Timothy Warner, Jaimie (David) Hogan, William Morales and Benjamin Riddle; step-grandchildren: Jerry (Lisa), Nicole, Lauren and Michael Mannor; 13 great-grandchildren; and his mother-in-law, Mary Eleanor Ronez. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Norman; a great-granddaughter, Nevaeh Doyle; a sister-in-law, Terry Riddle; a son-in-law, Brian Craig Warner. Carroll was a U.S. Army Veteran, and a member of the Amvets Post 21. He had been a salesman for Coachman Campers, Body Technician for Pride Transportation and was a man of many trades. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed woodworking, but most of all loved spending time with his family. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Heartland Hospice for all of their special care. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, with Bishop Terry McBeath officiating. Burial will be in Knollcrest Gardens, east of Findlay, where full military rites will be conducted by the Hancock County Veteran's Memorial Squad. Visitation will be held from 2-4:00 and 6-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, and 1 hour (10-11 a.m.) prior to the service Wednesday.
