I first met Mike last summer when he was traveling to the VA Hospital for treatment and serving at Mass at Mount St Mary's Seminary Here was someone who was afflicted and suffering yet full of peace and self-sacrifice like Christ His secret seemed to be his deep prayer life and personal dedication to the Sacrifice of the Mass I began to pray for his healing but God had decided that his work would soon be completed It is a great blessing to have known him in this life His faith and union with Christ in the midst of affliction were a model for us all May the Mother of our Lord draw near to you in the loss of your son Thank you for blessing us with Mike We will especially remember him at Mass
