Margie Muriel Box

Margie Muriel Box, 87, of Findlay, passed away at 1:15 AM on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at The Heritage. Margie was born on March 23, 1925 in Ada, West Virginia to the late Lewis and Ethel (Dooley) Doby. She married Frederick R. Box on August 23, 1957 and he survives. Margie is also survived by one son, Joe (Joyce) Box of Arlington; one daughter, Kimberly M.(Jerry) Gochenauer of Findlay; one brother, James Doby of Raleigh, NC; four sisters: Beulah Farmer of Bluefield, WV, Laura Ealy of Bluefield, WV, Maxine Lauck of Findlay and Elizabeth Hembrook of Centerville; and three grandchildren: Brett, Heather and Justin. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Lewis (Bud) Doby and Curtis Doby and one sister, Alice Thomas. Margie retired from food services with Findlay City Schools. She was a member of Stonebridge Church of God, the Actioneer Group and sang in the church choir. She was a lifetime member of the Women of the Church of God and a member of the Parkinson Support Group. Visitation will be from 1:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at College First Church of God with visitation from 9:30-10:30 AM prior to the service. Pastor Ancil Abney will officiate and burial will follow at Knollcrest Cemetery.
