Alice M. Peter, age 75, of rural Jenera died at 12:03 PM Friday, January 29, 2010 at Lima Memorial Hospital. Alice was born November 19, 1934 in Lima, Ohio to the late Philip and Stella P. (Reichenbach) Marquart, Jr. On August 12, 1956 she married Karl F. Peter and he passed away on September 6, 2009. Alice's surviving children are: Michael K. Peter of rural Jenera, Rachel A. (Ronald) White of Lake Geneva, WI, Rebekah M. Peter of rural Jenera, Ruthanna L. (Richard) Grihalva of Bluffton and Rose E. (James) Klockner of Columbus, OH. Also surviving is a grandson: Peter E. Grihalva, sister: Mary (Daryl) Hartman of rural Bluffton and brother-in-law: Clarence Bigelow of Bluffton. One sister Bonnie Bigelow is deceased. Alice was a homemaker, member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jenera and former Sunday School Teacher. She also liked to sew, travel with her family and read. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2010 from 4:00-7:00 PM at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington and one hour prior to the funeral service (1:00-2:00 PM) at the church. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jenera with Rev. Alois Schmitzer III and Rev. Jeffery Bolwerk officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the church or Trinity Lutheran School 301 N. Main St., Jenera, OH 45841.
