Phyllis Ann Leppert, 86, of Findlay, died at 12:20 p.m., Sunday, July 25, 2010, at Birchaven Village, Findlay. She was born on December 25, 1923, in Amlin, Ohio, to the late William F. and Sue M. (Bedger) Shier. She married Marlin D. Leppert on March 14, 1953, and he preceded her in death on October 6, 2006.
She is survived by her Children: Yvonne (Gregory) Caplinger of Columbus, Mark (Linda) Leppert of Gahanna and Cheryl Leppert of Columbus; 2 grandchildren: Monica (Daniel) Divine and Eric Leppert and 3 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death was her sister, Mary Jean Shier.
Phyllis was formerly employed as a Legal Secretary for State Auto Insurance in Columbus. She was a 1941 graduate of Hilliards High School and attended Capital University. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church (LCMS), Findlay, an avid Ohio State fan, enjoyed big band music and cooking.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at Birchaven Village Chapel, with Chaplain Mike Thompson officiating.
Visitation will be held from 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m., Tuesday at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, 205 West Sandusky Street, Findlay, Ohio 45840.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday in Dublin Cemetery, Dublin, Ohio.
