Edward "Terry" DeWood, age 77, formerly of 4277 C.R. 220, Findlay, passed away at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Birchaven Village, Findlay. He was born on September 23, 1932, to the late Edward George and Marguerite Mary (Rusling) DeWood in Toledo, OH.
Edward is survived by four sons: Gary (Cheryl) DeWood of Phoenix, AZ, Bill (Eileen) DeWood of North Royalton, OH, Bob (Val) DeWood of Grove City, OH, and Ken DeWood of Findlay; two daughters: Kathy Garlock of Findlay and Julie (Jeff) Rayis of Columbus, OH; 12 grandchildren: Patty, Dale, and Katie DeWood, Matt, Collin, and Courtney DeWood, Amy DeWood, Misty (Miles) and Nic DeWood, Christopher, Anna, and Alex Rayis; and by four great-grandchildren.
Edward graduated from Woodward High School in Toledo and then from Michigan State University. He attended St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Findlay. Edward worked for the DeWood Family Sunoco. He also worked at Kroger, Great Scot, Cains Potato Chips and Owens-Illinois.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Graveside rites will be held at 1 p.m. at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, OH.
