Catherine E. "Katie" Zoll, age 88, of Findlay, Ohio, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Sunrise Assisted Living. She was born on September 23, 1921 to the late James Arthur and Lavena (Morrison) Oldham in Ada, OH. Katie married Donald E. Zoll on November 22, 1940, and he preceded her in death on March 7, 2006. Katie and Donald were married for 65 years.
She is survived by a daughter: Constance "Connie" Mazeika of Findlay; a grandson: Matthew (Summer) Mazeika of Avondale, AZ; two great-grandchildren: Aubrey and Owen Mazeika; and a nephew: Leo (Jean) Motter of Dola, OH. She was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law: Velva and James Motter.
Katie was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Findlay and was part of St. Paul's missionary group. She supported many charities, such as Mission Possible, loved to read, and loved to visit her fellow church members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, where visitation will take place two hours prior to the service from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Reverend Greg Creech will officiate and burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
