James M. Allen, 74, of Findlay, passed from this life at 5:45 p.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at the University of Toledo Medical Center, Toledo. He was born on August 12, 1935, in West Mansfield, OH to Howard L. and Velda L. (Weiser) Allen. He married Rosario "Rose" Ochoa on March 17, 1956, and she survives.
Also surviving are his mother in Marysville, OH; his sons: William H. (Jamie L.) Allen of Dublin, Craig (Jayne) Allen of Findlay, Robert Allen of Findlay and John (Dodie) Allen of Lewis Center, OH; a brother, Keith (Anne) Allen of Columbus, OH; a sister, Joyce Allen of Marysville, OH; grandchildren: Will, Daniel, Philip, Matthew, Christopher, Claire and Maddy Allen.
His father preceded him in death.
James was the former owner of Asset Office Equipment. He was an avid outdoors man, he loved hunting, archery, shooting trap, skeet and golfing.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 30, 2010, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday in York Cemetery, York Township, Ohio, where full military rites will be conducted by the Richwood Area Veterans Memorial Squad.
Visitation will be held from 2-4:00 and 6-8:00 p.m., Friday at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME.
