Knollcrest
Cemetery
The original Knollcrest Cemetery was founded by a group of local citizens who
were concerned that a public cemetery with local leadership be established in
this area. They were aware that the municipal cemeteries were limited as to
space and the flexibility to offer services that were desired by the public.
They knew that the geographical location of the former Memory Gardens was highly
desirable, but that the management was not local and had become extremely
corrupt. So the decision was made to locate alongside that cemetery so that it
could annex their lands when their inevitable failure occurred.
Knollcrest was established as a true non-profit cemetery association as it is
recognized as such by the IRS. The public can and do make charitable
contributions to the cemetery and can deduct them on their income tax returns.
The Board of Trustees encourage you to consider gifts to the cemetery to help
insure that the cemetery will always be a place of beauty and tranquility. The
Board of Trustees would be happy to assist you with information about giving to
the endowment fund. Both small and large gifts are welcomed and encouraged.
Today, the care provided and the dedication of Knollcrest is evident. The
cemetery is well-groomed and once again an inviting place to reflect on the
lives of those who are interred there.
